“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. ”

About Me:
Originally from a diverse profile stretching from travel agent to airfare guru, lecturer, travel writer, singer/songwriter, I am Photographer.

Film photography being my first love , I borrowed a Canon EOS 300 SLR from a colleague at the time, wildlife photographer Leigh Kemp, and enrolled at the Cape Town School of Photography for their Practical Photography course.

My reason for joining was: "I want to learn how to take the perfect picture!" Apparently this was accomplished within the first lesson. Still, I wasn't totally satisfied and continued to complete various other courses through the school including Flash Photography, Hardcore Photography and Studio Lighting. I continued my "studies" by attending a 3-day intensive Wedding Photography Workshop with fashion and wedding photographer, Brett Florens.

Capturing human nature is my strength. I see beauty in simplicity, sincerity and the sensitivity of mankind. As a realist, of course, I capture the flipside of the coin too.

I enjoy documenting an event or a destination, focusing on detail. This often takes me off the beaten track during my travels and usually leads to the inspiration of the travel stories I write.

My personal great love is the performing arts and more specifically, live music - from an intimate cabaret affair to hardcore rock. Having the ability to feel the music, I am able to anticipate the artist's next move in so doing, capture the moment, to the delight of the artist and of course mine.

My photographic style is a fusion of documentary photography, photo journalism and the decisive moment.

I am always in search of the "perfect" image. Sometimes this drives me to the limits of my sanity as my vision of what I want to accomplish will keep me waiting for hours, for that one, perfect shot.

The gist: My versatility, my passion and my drive for perfection makes me good at what I do.

I hope that you will take the time to browse through my portfolio and look forward to hearing from you soon.

Warm Regards
